Day wise itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong
• Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station and drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. On the way, enjoy a scenic stop at Umiam Lake, a serene reservoir surrounded by pine forests — perfect for photography.
• On reaching Shillong, check in to your hotel. In the evening, you can explore the bustling Police Bazaar or take a leisurely walk around the local area.
• Overnight in Shillong

Day 2: Shillong Local Sightseeing
• After breakfast, begin your exploration of Shillong. Visit the Shillong Peak, the highest point in the area offering panoramic views of the city and mountains. Next, head to Elephant Falls, a popular multi-tiered waterfall.
• Explore the cultural richness at the Don Bosco Museum, and then visit the serene Ward’s Lake and the grand Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians.
• Spend your evening shopping for local crafts or relaxing at a café.
• Overnight in Shillong

Day 3: Shillong – Cherrapunji
• Leave for Cherrapunji, known for its dramatic landscapes and waterfalls.
• En route, stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint. In Cherrapunji, visit Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and Seven Sisters Falls, which flow down in seven segments.
• Explore the intriguing Mawsmai Caves with limestone formations, and relax at Eco Park, which offers views of the plains of Bangladesh.
• Overnight in Cherrapunji

Day 4: Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
• Today, enjoy a full-day excursion to two of Meghalaya’s highlights. Start with Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Stroll through its bamboo walkways, visit a sky view tower, and see the natural Living Root Bridge in nearby Riwai village.
• Then head to Dawki, famous for the crystal-clear Umngot River. Enjoy a boat ride where the water is so transparent that boats seem to float in the air. Return to Shillong by evening.
• Overnight in Shillong

Day 5: Shillong – Guwahati Departure
• After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati for your departure. If time permits, you may stop for shopping or a visit to Kamakhya Temple (optional) on the way to the airport or station.
• Depart with refreshing memories of Meghalaya’s misty hills and natural wonders.
